Norwich City Football Club’s Community Ambassador, Mr Bryan Gunn, joined Osteo-Scan clinic directors Michael I’Anson and Andre Lucchetti at The Forum on Friday July 28, as they took their first bold steps towards tackling osteoporosis in Norfolk.
Michael and Andre spent the day dispensing free consultations and bone scans to members of the public in a bid to raise awareness of osteoporosis and to launch their new, exciting independent fracture and osteoporosis risk assessment centre – Osteo-Scan. Nothing of its kind exists anywhere in Norfolk, and the centre utilises technology found in most major hospitals across the UK.
“Friday’s launch surpassed all our expectations with an overwhelming turnout,” said Michael. “Over the course of the day, we scanned just under a hundred people and had to stay late to try to fit everybody in.”
